Description
HR Onboarding Specialists are the main point of contact for all new hires. It is essential that an HR Onboarding Specialist creates a positive first impression, along with exhibiting the company culture. They are responsible for ensuring all new hires have access to pre-employment paperwork, assist with questions, create deadlines, communicate expectations for completion, and assist with various tasks related to the full orientation process.
Requirements
Communicate effectively with employees at various levels in the organization.
Maintain confidentiality via the security of the workstation and work area regarding the confidentiality of all data and systems.
Assist in developing and implementing onboarding strategies.
Extend employment offers and launch new hire onboarding packets.
Initiate background checks and drug screenings for every new hire.
Review background checks and drug screens and follow up as needed.
Follow up with new hires to ensure deadlines are met and missing items are updated prior to hire date.
Conduct new employee orientation.
Ensure all new hire workstations are set up and enlist Tech Support if necessary.
Create and distribute new hire welcome gifts.
Process new hire paperwork.
Distribute manuals, passwords, and guidelines, as needed.
Other duties deemed necessary.
