Role Description

This is a full-time Design Manager role based on-site in the Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area. The Design Manager will lead and oversee design processes for construction projects, ensure all designs meet client requirements and regulatory standards, and coordinate with stakeholders including architects, engineers, and contractors. Responsibilities include the review and approval of design documents, managing design schedules, and ensuring that project milestones are achieved. The Design Manager will also provide leadership and technical guidance to the design team, fostering innovation and efficiency throughout the design development phase.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in design management, construction technology, or alternative project delivery methods
• Proficiency in design tools and software, including AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant platforms
• Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders
• In-depth knowledge of design standards, building codes, and regulatory compliance
• Leadership and organizational skills to manage teams and deliver projects on time
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree is a plus
• Experience working on education or municipal sector projects is an advantage
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment
