Job Details Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance, tax planning, and tax reporting activities for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns for our clients using UltraTax software
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liability for our clients
- Provide guidance and support to clients on tax-related matters
- Prepare financial statements and reports related to tax activities
- Manage sales tax and payroll tax filings for clients
- Communicate with clients, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as needed
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA certification or EA preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in public accounting
- Proficiency in UltraTax, Thompson Reuters, QuickBooks, and other tax software
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
