Minimum Qualifications
Must have current, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Virginia; one year of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to receive and give clear and concise information to a variety of people; ability to work and communicate in a positive and cooperative manner with management, supervisory staff, medical staff, coworkers and other health care personnel. Must possess ability to work under pressure with time constraints and ability to work with an electronic health record. Must possess a DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) number. Computer skills and ability to type required. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.

This position is considered Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Duties


Under general supervision, performs work of considerable difficulty in providing specialized professional nursing care and services; performs related work as required. Examples of this work include performing health assessments, physicals, screenings and ancillary testing including venipuncture, ECG, spirometry, audiometry, vision screening, urinalysis, drug screening, tuberculosis screening, COVID-19, influenza, and Strep A testing; prescribing medications and medical treatment and therapies; planning program of care in collaboration with physicians and other medical professionals. Perform other work as required.

PLEASE NOTE: Position open until filled (first review to begin January 5, 2026).

Shift


Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
