If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you.

We’re a modern, mission-driven firm that helps families navigate estate planning and probate with clarity, compassion, and confidence. Right now, we’re looking for a Legal Assistant to join our close-knit team in Marietta —someone who’s organized, kind under pressure, and eager to make a difference in people’s lives.

Job Summary

In the short term, you’ll support our probate paralegal and learn the ins and outs of the legal assistant role. You’ll help ensure our estate planning and probate matters run smoothly—communicating with clients and courts, managing email and correspondence, and being the calm, competent presence that keeps things moving.

This is an ideal opportunity if you have experience in estate planning or probate law , especially if you’ve worked in a probate court . But most important? You show up with curiosity, compassion, and the mindset of a problem-solver.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and proofread estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives).
  • Assist with probate filings, including petitions, notices, inventories, and accountings.
  • Track deadlines for court filings and hearings.
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and court personnel.
  • Maintain and update client files (physical and digital).
  • Schedule client meetings and manage attorney calendars.
  • Handle notarizations and witness signatures where required.
  • Coordinate execution of estate plans and assist with trust funding processes.
  • Manage intake for new estate and probate matters, including gathering assets and family information.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with probate and estate planning law
  • Legal Research and Writing
  • Document Preparation (e.g., petitions, contracts, affidavits)
  • Case Management and Filing
  • Familiarity with Legal Terminology
  • Strong Organizational and Communication Skills
  • Attention to Detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Legal Software (e.g., Lawcus, Go High Level)

This is an ideal opportunity if you have experience in estate planning or probate law , especially if you’ve worked in a probate court . But most important? You show up with curiosity, compassion, and the mindset of a problem-solver.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Flexible work environment.
  • 401k plan

Why This Role Matters

We don’t believe in busywork or micromanagement. We believe in trust, autonomy, and collaboration . You’ll have room to grow, freedom to take ownership, and the support of a team that’s rooting for you. And most of all, you’ll go home knowing your work truly helped someone —every single day.

If you’re ready to grow with a firm that leads with curiosity, calm, and compassion—we’d love to talk.

Let’s find out if this is the right fit—for you and for us.
