Position Overview :
Altus Engineering is seeking a Junior Full Stack Web Developer to support our Department of Defense (DoD) projects on highly visible projects utilizing leading edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities :
• Assist in developing and maintaining web applications for internal and external use.
• Support ongoing development of existing sites using PHP, JavaScript, SQL, and other technologies.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of web applications.
• Collaborate with senior developers, project managers, and customers to gather requirements and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Learn and contribute to the design and implementation of new web-based systems based on customer needs.
Qualifications/Desired Skills :
Required :
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain & maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
• Foundational knowledge of web development concepts and programming.
• Proficiency with:
o PHP 7+ OOP
o JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
o MySQL or other relational databases.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain & maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
In addition, we also desire a candidate who has experience with the following :
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Exposure to Linux/Apache environments.
• Experience with or interest in learning PHP MVC frameworks (e.g., CakePHP).
• Understanding of APIs and web service integration.
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux command-line tools.
Additional Details :
While this is a primarily remote position, candidates must be available for in-person meetings at Aberdeen Proving Ground on a monthly basis.
