Job Description

Job Title: Heavy Truck Mechanic - Days Location: Huntington, TX, US Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair duties on both diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment while working closely with a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager. Carry out maintenance tasks on chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engine parts, HVAC systems, suspension, drive train, and steering systems. Focus on overseeing a modern fleet, providing support to drivers during their travels, and ensuring the proper upkeep of advanced vehicles on the highways. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to perform repair and maintenance tasks on diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment during the night shift.
• Conduct maintenance on chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engine components, HVAC systems, suspension, drive train, and steering systems.
• Focus on the upkeep of a modern fleet, providing support to drivers during their journeys, and ensuring the smooth operation of advanced vehicles on the road.
• Utilize your expertise in heavy-duty truck maintenance to tackle diverse challenges and work with intricate and powerful machinery.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of hands-on experience maintaining heavy-duty trucks is required for this role.
• The ability to independently carry out inspections and repairs on various heavy truck and automotive systems including Suspensions & Steering, General Engine, Transmissions, Brakes, Electrical, Hydraulics, Drive Train, and Diesel Emissions is necessary.
• While ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are advantageous, they are not mandatory.
• Previous experience with LNG and/or CNG is beneficial but not a prerequisite.
• A valid Driver’s License is a minimum requirement for this position.
