JOB DESCRIPTIONS

NTS leaders are looking to hire and retain individuals with strong character and excellent communication skills. Trustworthiness and a strong work ethic are necessary attributes for employment. Placement and opportunities for advancement are dependent on factors related to skill level, performance, professional growth, professionalism, education, and experience.

Mobile Diesel Technicians perform on-site maintenance, servicing, and repairs at a variety of locations. Out of state traveling is a part of the job requirement.

Mobile Diesel Technician 1 (MDT1)

Entry level technicians will perform routine servicing and some repairs. On the job training and significant support is needed. An MDT1 requires heavy support in maintain servicing schedules and tracking needed repairs.

This classification is for recent tech school graduates and for those who are learning the trade on the job.

Hourly Rate Range: $20-$23

Mobile Diesel Technician 2 (MDT2)

Work assignments for MDT2 roles involve a wider range of maintenance tasks and exposure to more complex repairs. On the job training and support are still needed. They can provide some support to other techs.

With minimal support they keep track of servicing schedules and tracking needed repairs.

Hourly Rate Range: $23-$30

Mobile Diesel Technician 3 (MDT3)

MDT3’s are highly skilled technicians who have many years of experience. They can perform the most challenging repairs and the most challenging maintenance tasks. They can work independently with ease and confidence. An MDT3 works with speed and accuracy. They can provide support to other technicians and train others when needed. They are organized, timely, dependable, excellent communicators, and able to work well with customers and our team. MDT3’s independently keep track of and execute timely servicing schedules and needed repairs. They can prioritize tasks independently. They also know when to request support if needed.

Hourly Rate Range: $31-$40

Mobile Technician Manager (MTM)

Work assignments for MTM’s include routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs. They can work independently with ease and confidence. An MTM works with speed and accuracy. They can provide support to other technicians and train others when needed. They are organized, timely, dependable, excellent communicators, and able to work well with customers and our team. MTM’s independently keep track of and execute timely servicing schedules and needed repairs. They can prioritize tasks independently. They also know when to request support if needed.

They also are tasked with managing teams, organizing team servicing schedules, repair lists, communications with customers, safety meetings and other managerial assignments.

Hourly Rate Range or Salary: TBD
