Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent US Sanctions Compliance and Watch List Management Analyst to join our Second Line AML team. The ideal candidate will focus on ensuring compliance and mitigating AML risks across all US Lines of Business within the client, playing a crucial role in preserving the bank's reputation and shareholder value by preventing non-compliance with US and Canada regulatory requirements. This position offers a starting date on 04/08/2024, with a 6-month duration and the potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment, in Chicago or Tempe.
Key Responsibilities: - Make informed decisions on sanctions related business referrals, including wire payments, IATs, and client onboarding.
- Conduct thorough OFAC risk investigations, including research, data collection, and evidence compilation.
- Ensure complete documentation of investigations to comply with AML due diligence and regulatory directives.
- Research regulatory compliance options and collaborate with the Sanctions team to mitigate identified risks.
- Assist in developing training materials based on identified knowledge gaps and provide due diligence in clearing OFAC potential matches.
Must-Have Skills: - 2-3 years of banking experience in AML investigation.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
- Strong knowledge of OFAC, BSA/AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and risk management principles.
Industry Experience: - Banking or Financial Services with a focus on AML and Sanctions Compliance.
- This role is critical for ensuring our compliance with essential regulatory standards and for maintaining the integrity and reputation of our financial services. Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with banking experience in AML investigation.
