Job Description

Our client is looking for a Project Manager who excels in fast-paced settings and can simplify complexity. They operate in the digital marketing space and will only consider candidates who have experience in a digital marketing organization, managing projects such as website development, campaigns, or SEO. You will serve as a liaison between design, development, and digital teams. This role requires someone with a keen eye for detail and the ability to drive projects to successful outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead cross-functional builds of marketing websites and custom web tools from kickoff through launch
  • Translate project goals into technical requirements and sprint-ready tasks
  • Facilitate collaboration across strategy, design, and development teams to deliver cohesive builds
  • Work closely with developers to manage tickets, timelines, blockers, and QA cycles
  • Run stand-ups, sprint planning, and dev handoffs to keep teams aligned
  • Track feature sets, change requests, and scope creep to protect timelines and budgets
  • Coordinate staging, testing, approvals, and deployment with internal teams and clients
  • Liaison with vendors and third-party partners for integrations, platforms, or environments
  • Manage post-launch support, enhancement requests, and maintenance planning
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients and internal stakeholders throughout every stage
  • Manage the flow of digital deliverables across SEO, paid media, email marketing, and analytics
  • Translate campaign strategies into executable tasks across creative and technical teams
  • Oversee content calendar execution, keyword strategy, and on-page optimization timelines
  • Collaborate with media teams on paid campaign launches, UTM tracking, and landing pages
  • Ensure assets are delivered on time: metadata, ads, blogs, reports, dashboards, and more
  • Track deliverables against monthly scopes and provide transparency on task status
  • Work across cross-functional pods to support full-funnel marketing activations
  • Own QA and approvals for SEO, content, and digital marketing work
  • Manage ongoing retainers with a proactive lens toward optimization and accountability
  • Own capacity planning and resource allocation across the full digital team
  • Manage and continuously optimize Project Management applications
  • Forecast team workload and adjust tasking to meet delivery and margin targets
  • Monitor time tracking, budget burn, and task efficiency across accounts
  • Lead weekly production and pipeline meetings to drive alignment and accountability
  • Flag misalignments early and escalate risks with clear options and next steps
  • Keep internal and external teams informed with timely, structured updates
  • Plan for short-term deliverables while balancing long-term resourcing needs

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of digital project management experience in an agency or production environment
  • Experience managing website projects (especially WordPress), custom dev, and multi-channel campaigns
  • Strong understanding of SEO and paid media workflows (search, social, display, email)
  • Proven ability to manage complex timelines, budgets, and scope across multiple workstreams
  • Adept at running sprints, dev handoffs, QA cycles, and client communication
  • Experience with project management tools—Teamwork preferred
  • Strong grasp of margin tracking, resource planning, and capacity management
  • Excellent communicator who keeps teams aligned, informed, and moving forward
  • Problem-solver who finds a way through challenges without losing momentum
  • Ability to work with external vendors, freelancers, and partners as needed to deliver

ADDITIONAL:

This is a full-time role with a digital marketing agency in the greater Nashville area. The role requires someone to be on-site at the employer’s location 4 days a week. Our client offers a robust benefits package and a creative/casual work environment.
