Job Description: Warehouse Lead

Overview

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations. Each Warehouse Lead will have a focus on a certain aspect of the Operation. This role focuses on ensuring that the team adheres to standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintains quality standards, and meets daily operational goals. The Warehouse Lead will also be involved in training and mentoring team members, resolving issues promptly, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Day-to-Day Operations

• Get to Zero
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure that all orders, returns, and refurbishments are completed daily, and all devices are placed in their designated areas by end-of-day.
  • Assist in managing daily order processing and inventory control to ensure all orders are shipped on time and inventory levels are accurate.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in monthly customer inventory counts, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Support the Operations Manager in overseeing inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely deliveries and returns.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring all products, including RTM items, are properly logged and stored in their designated areas.
• Resolve daily operational issues, implementing solutions promptly.

Quality  

• Ensure the team follows SOPs, and assist in identifying areas for improvement in current processes.
• Monitor and document quality control procedures, ensuring all warehouse activities meet established quality standards.
• Assist in training the team on SOPs, and ensure that all members are up-to-date with any changes or new procedures.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to identify areas for process improvement and participate in special projects that enhance KPIs and overall efficiency.

Training and Development

• Support the onboarding and training of new employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
• Help hold team members accountable for meeting performance standards, including SOP adherence, SLA targets, and attendance.

The Warehouse Lead should take ownership of their responsibilities, support the Operations Manager in all aspects of warehouse operations, and act as a dependable point of contact in the manager's absence.

Supervises: Operations Associates (alongside Operations Manager)
