Location/Division Specific Information Our global Clinical Operations colleagues within our PPD® clinical research services provide end-to-end support for clinical trials from study start up to monitoring through to study close out, across commercial and government contracts. Together, we help clients define and develop clinical programs, minimize delays, and execute high-quality, cost-efficient clinical studies. This 12-month program provides an accelerated journey into the highly demanded Clinical Research Associate (CRA) role. We are currently seeking candidates currently living in the West or Central Regions of the United States. We are not currently recruiting for East Coast candidates at this time. A day in the Life: As a CRA Apprentice, you will experience immersive work experience, rotating through three distinct functions in our Clinical Operations business unit: Clinical Trial Coordinator, Assistant CRA (ACRA) and the CRA Academy. Progress through skill development training to gain robust knowledge of clinical research. Receive dedicatedmentorship and support throughout the program. Keys to Success: Education Bachelor's degree in a life sciences related field Experience Status as a veteran or military spouse In order to qualify for this program, you must have no prior clinical research experience Previous basic experience or training in the medical field In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Basic medical/therapeutic area knowledge and understanding of medical terminology Good oral and written communication skills, with theabilitytocommunicateeffectively with medical personnel Good interpersonalskills Ability to maintain customerfocus through the utilization of good listening skills, attentiontodetailandtheabilityto perceive customers’ underlying issues Good organizational and time management skills Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a wide range of scenarios Well-developed critical thinking skills, including but not limited to critical mindset, in-depth investigation for appropriate root cause analysis and problemsolving Ability to work in a team or independently as required Good computerskills: solid knowledge of Microsoft Office andtheabilitytolearn appropriate software Good English language and grammar skills Work Environment Thermo Fisher Scientific values the health and wellbeing of our employees. Compensation and Benefits The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $22.00–$22.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
