Overview:The Vascular Access Registered Nurse (VA-RN) provides services to inpatients and outpatients who require specialized assistance for placement and/or maintenance of vascular access devices. Based on individualized assessment of vascular access needs, the VA-RN selects the appropriate device and insertion site. The VA-RN serves as a resource for patients, families, and staff for maintenance of vascular access devices; in order to decrease risk of complications, including blood stream infections. The VA-RN identifies and meets the educational needs of patients, families, and staff.

Remote Work/Work from Home:This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Childrens Mercy locations and may not work from home.
