TradesMax is seeking an experienced Truck & Trailer Mechanic to handle diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and servicing for heavy-duty diesel trucks and trailers in both shop and field environments . This position is located in Knoxville , with occasional travel to other local sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, and Sterling trucks and trailers.
• Conduct inspections, oil changes, lubrication, tire servicing, brake repairs, and other routine maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, fuel, brake, suspension, hydraulic, cooling, and electrical systems .
• Inspect and replace trailer components (lights, brakes, seals, hubs, suspension, etc.) in compliance with DOT regulations .
• Keep detailed records of all work performed and complete necessary certifications and training.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop, work area, and service vehicles.
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and DOT standards .
• Communicate with the Regional Equipment Manager and General Manager to schedule routine or emergency repairs.

What We’re Looking For:

• Certifications: Airbrake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and repair procedures .
• Work Environment: Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions .
• Compliance: Must pass a drug screen, physical, and background check .
• Age Requirement: Must be 18+ years old .
