Job Description

Our busy multi-office practice is looking to hire a full time Oral Surgery Dental Assistant. All applicants must be able to multi-task, pay attention to detail, have compassion and empathy, display a friendly energetic attitude and work as a team player. Excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience with Oral Surgery.

This is a traveling position traveling to multiple locations which at this time include the following:

in Massachusetts: Methuen, Chelmsford, Wilmington, Roslindale, Lynn, Taunton, Malden, and Waltham

in New Hampshire: Manchester

Primary job duties and requirements include, but are not limited to:

Assist provider with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

• Greet patients and perform pre-surgical preparations
• Dental Knowledge
• Room and instrument sterilization
• Assist the oral surgeon during surgery, providing suction, monitoring instruments, and swapping tools as necessary
• Assist during surgical procedures local and general anesthesia
• Provide post-operative instruction to patients regarding healing and care
• Operate x-ray equipment
• Taking Radiographs
• Follow CDC Guidelines (review Stericycle.com, i.e. bloodborne pathogen videos, infection control procedures)
• Under the direction of provider, assist in performing four- handed chairside dentistry:
• Prepare examination and surgical rooms by sterilizing instruments and moving equipment into place.
• Prepare instrument trays per scheduled procedure

Requirements

License:

MA Dental Assistant License

Radiology Certificate

CPR
