Location: Los Alamos Medical Center, Los Alamos, NM Shift: 10:30 AM – 8:30 PM

Job Overview: Los Alamos Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist for a travel position. This role involves working in a fast-paced laboratory environment to perform complex testing that supports quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic testing including hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and transfusion services
• Analyze specimens and validate results to ensure accuracy and compliance with laboratory standards
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Document and report test results promptly and precisely
• Adhere to regulatory and safety protocols including CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide diagnostic insight and technical support
• Maintain proficiency in current laboratory techniques and technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
• ASCP or equivalent certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a travel assignment setting
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
