Avani Healthcare West is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Rochester, New York.

Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Schedule: 36 hours per week

Job Description:

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Positions patients, accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling.
• Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements:                                             

• 2 years’ Experience
• NYS licensure
• Level 1 Trauma Center Experience

Certifications:

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
