NDI Engineering Company is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the design of US Navy test facilities.
\nThe ideal candidate will have experience in design of steel and concrete structures in accordance with American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) standards and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) design manuals and demonstrate an attention to details. A Professional Engineering license is preferred. Experience with structural analysis programs such as STAAD.pro is a plus.
\nJob Responsibilities
\nReview design requirements and establish design criteria.
\nDevelop design sketches for arrangement of structures and connection details.
\nDevelop structural calculations by hand or with computer analysis program to demonstrate code compliance.
\nDevelop design reports documenting the suitability of designs against requirements.
\nReview and check engineering drawings of structures.
\nCommunicate with others on the project team and with the customer’s technical personnel.
\nMinimum Requirements
\nMust be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.
\nMust possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mechanics or Civil Engineering.
\nHave 3 years of professional experience in civil and structural engineering. This shall include 2 years of experience with new construction projects.
\nWork in the NDI office is required; however, work schedule flexibility is provided.
\nHave strong verbal and written communications skills.
