Job Description

The Stockroom Team Member supports delivery and restaurant operations by receiving, organizing, and distributing products within the airport. Responsibilities include unpacking shipments, maintaining inventory, and ensuring timely delivery to designated locations. This role may also assist with front-of-house duties such as greeting guests, taking orders, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Additional assignments and special projects may be directed by the General Manager.

SHIFT DETAILS

Must be available to work 4 AM - 1 PM, Monday through Saturday.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely and accurately receiving and storing products in appropriate areas.
  • Safely and accurately receive, store, and organize products in designated stockroom and restaurant areas.
  • Transport products using carts, two-wheelers, or pallets.
  • Deliver inventory to restaurant or storage areas using approved equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, rolling cart, or motorized cart).
  • Perform inventory control and provide store support activities as needed.
  • Depending on the schedule, focus may shift between receiving, selection and delivery, inventory control, or store support; cross-training is provided to ensure the ability to perform all general stockroom functions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and sanitation procedures to protect products and ensure customer safety.
  • Stay current on required training related to airport badging and security protocols.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year TSA criminal background check
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of related experience preferred
  • Familiarity in inventory procedures preferred
  • Pallet jack and picking experience a plus
  • Must be 18 years or older
WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Airport: This position operates in a climate-controlled international airport environment. The temperature, volume of noise, and exposure to the public is outside the control of First Meridian Services, Inc. The position requires use of public spaces as provided by the airport.

Stockroom: This position may require frequent exposure to a stockroom, storage areas, restaurant operation environment. Regular exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold/freezing), fumes, vapors, industrial restaurant equipment, noise, and guests will be a common occurrence.

The nature of restaurant work requires the Stockroom Team Member to possess certain physical abilities. Those listed here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform this job. Most of the workday is spent standing or walking and working in close proximity to others. Eye-hand coordination, depth perception, finger dexterity, and functional vision and speech perception are required. Some bending, crouching, constant walking for long periods of time and pushing/pulling and lifting/lowering of up to 100 lbs. Some repetitive motions with hands, wrists, or arms. Must be able to operate all equipment used in the stockroom. Some exposure to skin irritants, electrical equipment, and sharp instruments. Risk to these exposures is minimized by strict adherence to company standards, policies and procedures.
