Job Title: Stand-Up Forklift Operator
Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Stand-Up Forklift Operator to efficiently handle and prepare steel beams and flats for loading. This position operates within a non-climate controlled warehouse, utilizing a Combilift to ensure timely preparation for the second shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Stand-Up Forklift, particularly a Combilift, to handle materials.
• Prepare and organize steel beams and steel flats for the second shift.
• Navigate aisles to efficiently grab orders and place them in the staging area.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient workflow.

Essential Skills

• Prior experience operating a forklift, especially a Combilift, Hubtex, or Raymond.
• Experience in a steel yard or lumber yard is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in material handling and order picking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with stand-up forklifts and reach trucks.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and loading techniques.

Work Environment

The role is based in a non-climate controlled warehouse, working from Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. You will be part of a team of 30, where safety gear such as steel-toed boots and ear protection are required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
