We're hiring a Sr. UX/UI Designer! About this position The Sr. UX/UI Designer will have a passion for creating, developing, and deploying unique, compelling user experiences across our growing digital media presence. This position will be pivotal in defining goals for our online users and creating an instinctive online experience on both internal and external portals for our Ambassadors and retail customers. Additionally, this position will mentor and guide junior designers and lead the development and management of our Plexus Design System in partnership with the manager of UX/UI. What you'll do You're responsible for providing high-fidelity designs for new features and templates for web and mobile assets with the ability to build improvements to existing functionality. You solve user problems and ensure smooth and logical online transitions that promote user goals and retention. You lead the creation, usage, and continual evolution of the Plexus Design System in collaboration with the UX/UI manager, IT, and other key stakeholders. You guide and mentor UX/UI designers on the visual execution of the Plexus brand within the guidelines of industry best practices and our existing technical implementation. You build prototypes of new features, templates, and apps to demonstrate and test new designs. You define interactive models; user task flows, and UI specifications. You participate in usability studies on existing and new applications. You continuously provide usability design improvement recommendations based on industry best practices, observed user behavior, and site/app analytics. You diagram user experience flows. You serve as an advisor to other members of our Digital Marketing, Creative, Product, and IT Development groups to provide expertise in design and user experience. You should have You have a Bachelor's degree in web design or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. You have seven years of experience in web design, development, and UX/UI. You have experience designing eCommerce user experiences for mobile applications, mobile, and desktop web, or experience in visual or interactive design. You understand web technologies and their impact on usability/accessibility (HTML, CSS, JS, Jquery). You know front-end technologies (jQuery, Bootstrap, responsive design). You can collaborate with others and thrive in a team environment while meeting individual goals and expectations. You anticipate obstacles, communicate effectively and plan accordingly. You're adept at providing solutions and working in cross-functional areas to facilitate the successful completion of projects.
