Sr. Software Engineer

San Diego, CA (Hybrid)

Team Overview:

The Experimentation team at SIE is responsible for building and scaling the experimentation technology, culture and process across all teams. Our mission is to accelerate data-driven decision making that helps PlayStation deeply understand our users, drive business impact, and improve the PlayStation experience.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Experimentation team at PlayStation. In this role, you will contribute to the development and evolution of both front-end applications and back-end services that power our Experimentation capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Support and develop of features for both front-end tools and back-end services
• Partner directly with teams across the organization to integrate with our systems
• Work directly with partners outside our domain to define requirements and empower experimentation
• Conduct code reviews and ensure quality, consistency and maintainability of our services

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of professional experience working with both frontend and server side development
• Proficiency developing using JavaScript, Typescript, React, React Native, Java and Kotlin
• Experience working with Database technologies (SQL or no SQL)
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and front-end architecture techniques
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Experience collaborating with multi-functional partners outside of your domain, especially with product, design and quality.

Nice to Have:

• Experience building or working with an Experimentation platform
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes and Docker

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.


Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
