On the Amazon Robotics (AR) team, we build dynamic partnerships between people and intelligent machines. This intricate collaboration helps Amazon fulfill orders with unmatched accuracy. We focus on solving near term opportunities while charting a roadmap for how we will navigate the product development needs to maximize business value over the next 3 – 5 years.
We are actively seeking for Sr. Manager Procurement for Amazon Robotics Supply Chain (RSC) organization. RSC organization sources, manufactures, delivers a portfolio of robotics technology globally and supports our network of global fulfillment and transportation solutions. RSC Procurement team is comprised of Procurement managers who are the interface between RSC teams and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supply chain, domain expert to dive deep into the supply chain processes, along with the supply chain procurement technologies required to scale business for the next three to five years.
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing a team of procurement professionals, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services for AR customers. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, identifies and evaluates suppliers, and drive cost reduction to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a strong interest in developing high performance teams and contributors on those teams.
You work cross functionally to identify and deliver value for AR customers. You will develop and implement procurement policies, processes, and systems to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement in the indirect procurement function. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supply chain, domain expert to dive deep into the procurement processes, along with the automation required to scale procurement function for the next three to five years.
This role will require strong leadership skills and interaction/influence with teams across Amazon to drive the improvement of procurement function. The ideal candidate will be curious, have strong attention to detail, be energized by a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, be comfortable thinking big while also diving deep, will have high judgement and comfort managing senior stakeholders. Your goal is to develop/deliver innovative processes to create financial benefits through procurement. You will be a thought leader on procurement management, good communicator, and ability to build relationships with internal customers and suppliers.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead the strategic procurement process for a portfolio of spend categories, including analyzing demand, researching supplier markets, developing procurement strategies, and conducting competitive bid events
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and other commercial terms
• Hire and Develop a strong performing Program Management organization
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in Finance, AR, IT, and other teams to align procurement activities with the broader business needs
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and other innovations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the indirect procurement function
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply, address issues, and identify opportunities for innovation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of team management experience
- 9+ years of supply chain experience
- 9+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- MBA
- 8+ years of experience in strategic procurement or materials management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop data-driven recommendations
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
- Proficient in procurement systems, tools, and technologies
- Advanced knowledge of procurement best practices, market dynamics, and industry trends
