Job Description

A K-12 school in Byron, GA is seeking two skilled Sign Language Interpreters for the current school year contract, from ASAP through May 2026. These are full-time, 37.5 hours per week positions providing 1:1 onsite interpretation services.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid GA Educational Interpreter certification through the GA Professional Standards Commission (PSC), or eligibility to obtain it
• Minimum of 3.5 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) or National Interpreter Certification (NIC)
• Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and effective 1:1 sign language interpretation to support students educational access and communication
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff to ensure full participation and understanding
• Collaborate with educators and support personnel to enhance the learning experience for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and professional standards
