Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year
A bit about us: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Senior GL Accountant to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This role involves managing all general ledger activity, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Job Details Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general ledger.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
3. Conduct variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal control evaluations.
4. Streamline, automate, and instill best practices in billing and cash processes.
5. Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in the GL.
6. Assist with the month-end closing process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
7. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
8. Interact with various internal departments to project expenses and budget.
9. Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
10. Stay updated with industry trends and current financial legislation.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities, preferably in a senior role.
3. Proficient knowledge of NetSuite is a must.
4. Strong understanding of GAAP.
5. Proven experience in the preparation and presentation of financial statements.
6. Experience with balance sheet management and variance analysis.
7. Proven ability to implement new systems and procedures and to evaluate their effectiveness.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
9. Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.
10. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Proven knowledge about process redesign and improvements.
13. Self-starter, high level of initiative, proven proactive thinker.
