What Your Day Will Look Like:

As a senior environmental scientist, You`ll support the environmental assessments, impact evaluations, environmental surveys, environmental permitting, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations for transportation infrastructure projects. Youll prepare permit applications, risk assessments and technical documents including proposals, reports, and regulatory agency correspondence. You`ll design systems and environmental protection plans for ecological and natural resource field surveys, site planning and permitting. The senior environmental scientist reports to the environmental practice leader.

What You'll Do:

• Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium environmental projects and processes.
• Assisting public and private clients with permit coordination acquisition and compliance.
• Establishing client relations, including with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Prepare for and participation in public information meetings and hearings.
• Assist with NEPA document preparation.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor of science degree in Biology, Ecology, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or related disciplin e
• Minimum of eight years working with environmental transportation projects.
• This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May occasionally be exposed to work environments that include exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements. While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
