Position Description: RN 

  BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Cardiac Medical  team at St. Joseph’s Hospital . As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.

This is a cardiac PCU/step-down unit that takes care of patients with cardiac arrythmias, MI - myocardial infarct (heart attack), overflow for congestive heart failure, and all pre/post cardiac procedures except open heart surgery.

The RN responsibilities include:

• • Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
  • Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
  • Professional accountability and development.
  • Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

  Qualifications:

  Certifications and Licensures:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
  • RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
  • ACLS Certification, if required by department
  • Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

  Education:

  • Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

  Experience:

  • 1 year of RN experience in acute care or 6 months RN experience in acute care with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment is required.

  • Clinical skills appropriate to position

Location: Tampa, FL

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Shift: Shift 3

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No
