Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings, identifying risk factors, and engaging with family when necessary. Develop patient care plans in coordination with the healthcare team, ensuring they are tailored to patient needs and goals. Provide direct patient care, ensuring comfort and communication during procedures, and adjusting care based on patient responses. Coordinate care activities to ensure timely interventions and optimal patient outcomes. Offer mentorship to new nurses and students, and actively participate in staff empowerment and professional development activities. Contribute to department quality improvement initiatives, enhancing patient care and safety. Demonstrate compassion, respect, and empathy in patient interactions, ensuring positive relationships with patients and families. Minimum Education, Experience, and Licensure Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. No prior experience required, though clinical experience is a plus. Active RN licensure in Kentucky is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other certifications may be needed based on department.
