Overview Regional Nurse Consultant (RN) – Long-Term Care (Chicagoland) for Aperion Care. Psychiatric experience preferred. 5 years of experience in long-term care. This role supports the implementation of facility policy and state regulations related to nursing and healthcare, maintains care based on established nursing standards and resident rights, and provides leadership, planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the care given to residents. Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Responsibilities and primary duties Ensure facility compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures and with all state regulations. Understand and implement company policies and procedures. Perform quarterly audits including resident charts, medication room, and QA interventions. Participate in care conferences as needed or requested by the facility. Perform comprehensive assessments on potential residents. Provide clinical training and support to all staff. Review Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) to ensure compliance in the medication room. Conduct monthly supervisory visits to all medication passers as allowed by state regulations. Monitor wound care for appropriateness and effectiveness. Monitor use of supplies and ensure supplies are ordered as appropriate. Attend meetings and work cooperatively with management and care teams, residents, staff, and visitors. Review incident reports and follow-up notes to ensure proper reporting and documentation of state reportable incidents. Assist in hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing the work of facility staff as needed. Address complaints and resolve problems as needed. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. Five years of management experience with experience in long-term care. Current, unencumbered RN license in the state. General knowledge of professional nursing, restoratives and personal care services. Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and correspondence. Valid driver’s license. Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation, and interaction with coworkers. Physical requirements Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a height of 5 feet and move a distance of at least 50 feet. Moderate noise level in the work environment. Ability to travel within the assigned region, up to 75%.
