Job Title: Project Estimator (Steel Fabrication and Erection)

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Core Function

To be responsible for Estimating Project costs using customer-provided documents and drawings. This role involves ensuring accurate material, labor, and vendor cost estimations to meet project scope requirements .

Responsibilities.

• Perform lump sum “takeoff” of material, labor, and vendor costs using design drawings and specifications.
• Communicate with General Contractors to clarify project requirements and timelines.
• Request and manage vendor quotes for materials and services.
• Review project specifications to ensure full scope coverage in estimates.
• Provide the estimating manager with detailed Scope of Work, inclusions/exclusions, and qualifications for proposal submission.
• Track bid progress and follow up with contractors on bid awards.

Requiremenst

• High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the Steel Fabrication industry
• Ability to read and interpret Structural/Architectural drawings
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with Blue Beam and On-Screen Take off.Knowledge of AISC practices, construction standards, and procedures from award to close out
