Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond?What You Will DoPratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer for the CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite) team in East Hartford, CT. The Project Engineer will work closely with IPTL to track and drive team objectives.Job responsibilities include:Coordinate design, fabrication, and validation of CMC specimensDevelop project plans, schedules, resource requirements and budgets for assigned projectsSupport the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)Identify and manage risks and opportunities for projectsForecast project commitments and expendituresMaintain and present plans and progress reports relating to the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are metEnsure successful project completion including holding team members accountable to their commitmentsQualifications You Must Have:Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)2 years of experience in engineering with a bachelor’s degree or an advanced degreeThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:A Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.Knowledge and Experience with Agile methodology and Project Management toolsets (e.g. Smartsheet, SAP, Primavera, and/or MS Project).Demonstrated experience managing budgets and schedules.Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and risk management skillsFocus on results with the ability to drive projects to successful completionStrong communication skills, including verbal, technical writing, and presentations to engineering and program managementAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and deadlines.What We OfferBenefitsRelocation AssistanceLearn More & Apply Now!Hot Section Engineering (HSE)Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.What is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
