If you are passionate about the restaurant industry, energetic, and possess the ability to provide superior service, Mason Street Grill is in search of a Cook I. As a Cook I at Mason Street you will be responsible for following all instructions assigned by Chefs and ensuring all duties assigned are carried out. This role will also prepare and cook all food items according to menus, expedite orders quickly and correctly as ordered, and ensure junior members of team are performing duties to standards and specifications.

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, esuring consistency and quality.
  • Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like nstocks and sauces.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations.
  • Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
  • Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
  • Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous cooking experience required, a minimum of 3 years in a similar position preferred. Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions, and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
  • Ability to obtain any local, state or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service certification.
