Animal Care Attendant

$16.50 - $19.50 per hour

Kreher’s Eggs has been producing high-quality egg products since 1924. Since then, the care of the animals has been a priority and high standards have been set to ensure the safety and health of the chickens.

What is the Animal Care Attendant responsible for?

-Overseeing the care of the pullets (young chicks) and/or laying hens on our farms
-Assisting with moving, feeding, and housekeeping of the birds in our barns

We have part-time and full-time positions available. Full-time employees receive an excellent benefits package.

**MUST NOT CURRENTLY OWN, HUNT BIRDS, OR VISIT ANYONE THAT OWNS BIRDS**

(pet bird, backyard flock, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicants should have a general knowledge of animal care standards.

• Farm labor experience is preferred, but not required.

• Self-starter who is equally productive working independently or on a team.

• Enjoy working and being around animals.

• Being bilingual, English/ Spanish, is a plus, but is not required.

Physical Requirements:

This position is mobile in nature requiring moderate to high energy levels and occasional physical exertion. There is exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, temperature changes, agricultural noise and hazards usually accompanied by visits to agricultural facilities.

• The constant physical demands of the position are standing and walking.
• The constant physical demands of the position are carrying, pushing, pulling and lifting.
• The constant physical demands of the position are talking and hearing.
• The constant physical demand of working in an environment where there are typical agricultural sounds, smells, dirt and dust.
• Lift or move up to 25 pounds.
