The South College School of Physician Assistant Studies is seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual for the position of Clinical Coordinator to join an experienced clinical team for its campus in Asheville, NC. We are searching for a team-oriented faculty member to assist in clinical site management, clinical curriculum development, and assessment. The PA Program has strong administrative support, excellent benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
General Responsibilities
• Ongoing development and maintenance of clinical sites and preceptors.
• Regular travel in Western North Carolina 1-2 days a week to recruit sites and complete initial and ongoing site visits.
• Coordinate student placements at various clinical sites.
• Advise students and preceptors on clinical rotation schedules, requirements, and expectations.
• Monitor student progress during clinical rotations and address any issues that arise.
• Provide feedback to students and preceptors.
• Ensure that clinical education meets or exceeds federal, state, and PA accreditation standards.
• Assist with the development and coordination of Clinical curriculum.
• Instruction in clinical and didactic phases of the program.
• Assess student performance during clinical rotations, end of rotation, and clinical summative activities and testing.
• Maintain and review scheduling of Exxat logs.
• Assist Director of Clinical Education in document preparation for accreditation reviews.
• Plan scholarship and service activities to assist the program’s compliance outcomes.
• Participate in student advising, student admissions and committees as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
• Graduate of ARC-PA accredited program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Master’s in physician assistant studies or health related fiel
Requirements:• Eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
• At least 3 years or more of teaching or clinical experience.
