Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Patient Care Technician, you will:

• Provide Direct Patient Care: Spend your day caring for patients, ensuring they receive safe and comfortable dialysis treatment.
• Monitor Patients: Observe and record vital signs, and assist with hemodialysis machine setup.
• Educate Patients: Help patients understand their treatment and build long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with a Team: Work alongside nurses, dietitians, and social workers under the supervision of an RN.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A passion for helping others and a desire to enter the healthcare field.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort working with blood and needles.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to work long hours on your feet.
• Previous healthcare experience is a plus (e.g., CHT, CNA, CMA, or Phlebotomy certification).

Working Conditions

Your schedule will typically include:

• Operational Hours: MWF 5:30 AM - 4:30 PM / TTHS 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• 10-12 hour shifts, 3-4 days a week.
• Training hours may vary, but expect to work 32-40 hours per week during this period.
