Part-Time Overnight Security Officer

Securitas USA is currently seeking dedicated and vigilant Part-Time Overnight Security Officers to join our team and help maintain the highest standards of safety and security. The Part-Time overnight Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises during the overnight shift. This role involves monitoring surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, and responding to any security incidents or emergencies that may arise.

This position requires excellent customer service skills, critical thinking with the ability to intervene and deescalate. No prior security experience is required.

We have a couple different sites with part time overnight shifts currently available:

Location(s): Lexington, MA / Lowell, MA / Andover, MA

Shift(s): Lexington: Sunday & Monday, 10pm-6am

Lowell: Wednesday-Friday, 9pm-5am

Andover: Wednesday & Thursday 11pm-7am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surveillance Monitoring: Operate and monitor security cameras and other surveillance equipment to detect and prevent suspicious activity.
  • Patrol Duties: Conduct regular and thorough patrols of the premises, including both interior and exterior areas, to ensure all areas are secure.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, or other incidents, following established procedures to address and resolve issues.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed incident reports, daily logs, and any necessary documentation for management review.
  • Access Control: Monitor and control access points, including checking identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Emergency Procedures: Act as the first responder in emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or security threats, and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide a visible security presence and assist employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous security experience preferred, but not required; training will be provided.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and perform physical tasks as required.
