Job Description We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated OAM (Operations, Administration, and Maintenance) Developer to work on mission-critical (space operations) workloads, ensuring the seamless operation of complex telecommunications networks. The OAM Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing software solutions that manage and monitor the performance, health, and availability of network infrastructures, particularly within the context of space operations 5G/4G technologies. Responsibilities Development of OAM Solutions: Design and implement software solutions to monitor, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications networks, ensuring the seamless operation of mission-critical workloads. Network Monitoring: Develop systems for the monitoring and the management of network performance, availability, and fault detection in space communications (over DTN) 5G/4G environments. Fault and Performance Management: Implement tools and processes for detecting, diagnosing, and resolving network issues, ensuring minimal service disruption. Automation of Operations: Develop ZTP (Zero Touch Provisioning) workflows, and tools to streamline routine OAM tasks such as network configuration, updates, and fault recovery specific to the DTN (Deay Tolerant Networks) High Availability Systems: Design and deploy highly available and fault-tolerant systems to support OAM functions for mission-critical services. Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers, backend developers to ensure OAM systems are integrated seamlessly with overall network operations. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex issues that may arise in the operation and management of the space missions Security & Compliance: Ensure that all OAM systems adhere to industry security standards and regulatory requirements, safeguarding the integrity of mission-critical networks. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvement in the OAM processes and systems and suggest or implement changes to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Telecommunications, or a related field. Experience: 3 years of experience in OAM development, network management, or related roles, particularly within the telecommunications (space communications are preferred) Telecommunication Expertise: Strong understanding of 5G/4G network technologies, protocols, and OAM principles. Understanding of the DTN (Delay Tolerant Networks) while is not mandatory, would be a big plus Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Go for OAM tool development. Scripting & Automation: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Perl) for automating operational tasks and network configuration. Network Protocols: Familiarity with network protocols such as SNMP, NETCONF, and YANG for managing and configuring network devices. Monitoring & Alerting Tools: Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, Nagios) and configuring alerting mechanisms. Database Systems: Experience with relational and NoSQL databases for storing and retrieving OAM data. DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD processes and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for deploying OAM solutions.
