Position Summary: Electrical Designer with active power and lighting design project experience in the retail, commercial, government and education markets. The selected candidate will provide electrical design expertise while working with the project team.
Position Responsibilities: - Design and develop drawings for building's lighting, power and electrical distribution systems
- Perform lighting and power engineering calculations
- Design to applicable standards and codes
- Evaluate, select and specify appropriate electrical equipment/systems
- Coordination with clients, contractors and other disciplines
- Evaluate, select and specify appropriate electrical equipment / systems
- Effectively build and maintain relationships with clients, owners, contractors and all team members
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment
Position Qualifications: - Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office
- Working knowledge of the NEC, IBC, IECC, NFPA, IESNA and other appropriate codes and standards
- Ability to identify and correctly respond to project needs
- Adhere to project schedules, budgets and scope of work
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Effectively work with clients, owners, contractors, and all team members
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment
- Vocational degree or Associates Degree (Electrical focus)
