We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Mold Maker for our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and manufacturing molds for plastic injection molding, with a focus on medical devices. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and who is committed to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and manufacture molds for plastic injection molding, primarily for medical devices, in accordance with ISO13485, AS9100, AS/ISO 9001 standards
2. Ensure all molds are designed and manufactured to the highest quality, meeting all relevant industry and safety standards
3. Utilize MasterCam programming and HSMworks in the design and manufacturing process
4. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of molds to ensure optimal performance and longevity
5. Collaborate closely with the engineering and production teams to troubleshoot any issues and optimize the production process
6. Continually update knowledge and skills in line with the latest industry developments and innovations
7. Maintain accurate records of mold designs, manufacturing processes, inspections, and maintenance activities
8. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in mold making, with a focus on plastic injection molding
2. Proven experience in the engineering industry, preferably with a focus on medical devices
3. Proficient in MasterCam programming and HSMworks
4. Thorough understanding of ISO13485, AS9100, AS/ISO 9001 standards
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills
8. A commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards and continuous improvement
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting all deadlines
10. A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
