Job Description
We rely on and trust our Medical Records - Health Information Specialist (QMA or LPN)to responsible for maintaining the medical records according to established standards and policy as well as with state and federal regulations.
Full time - 40 hours per week
Must have weekend availability and will be on the on call rotation

Responsibilities:
- Maintain all medical records in designated area in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Prepare admission packets and establish medical files
- Maintains open charts by filing all clinical documentation daily as it is received
- Monitor and audit records for completeness and accuracy at assigned intervals
- Process, transfer and discharge records and maintain appropriate records on discharged residents including preparation of bereavement file, if applicable
- Prepare reports as directed and inform center or agency leadership of any deficiencies in documentation
Qualifications:
- Must be licensed as a QMA or LPN
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- At least one year previous clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
