Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually (based on experience and certifications)

Domani Inspection Services offers specialized Special Inspection Services throughout New York City, ensuring compliance and safety on construction projects. We’re growing our team and looking for a qualified ICC Mechanical Inspector to contribute to our commitment to excellence in mechanical systems inspections.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a certified ICC Mechanical Inspector to perform inspections on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems, ensuring compliance with NYC Building Code and other relevant standards. Candidates with additional certifications in Firestopping, Fire Rated Construction, and ECC (Exterior Cladding) are highly desirable, though these are not required for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections of mechanical systems in accordance with NYC Building Code and industry regulations.
• Verify compliance of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems with safety and operational standards.
• Document and submit detailed inspection reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
• Stay up to date with changes in building codes and mechanical systems standards.

Required Certifications:

• ICC Mechanical Inspector certification

Preferred Certifications (a plus):

• Firestopping
• Fire Rated Construction
• ECC (Exterior Cladding)

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical inspections or related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple projects.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites in the NYC area.
