Job Description

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Location: Hybrid preferred; 3 days on campus, 2 days remote, Harahan, Louisiana
Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension or permanent offer)

What's the Job?

• Utilize SolidWorks to create, update, and release equipment designs.
• Manage design files using PDM systems, specifically EPDM.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and deliverables.
• Conduct independent work on design projects, with periodic team reviews to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Present design work to the team and incorporate feedback.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on SolidWorks.
• Experience with PDM systems, preferably EPDM.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
