POSITION SUMMARY:
Administers therapeutic massage in accordance with prescribed standards and techniques. Provides massage therapy at ECHN rehab sites.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
· Graduate of an accredited school of massage therapy.
· Must hold or is eligible for Ct license and have one year progressive experience in massage therapy.

1. Performs massage strokes with appropriate pressure and technique.
2. Performs massage strokes with appropriate rhythm.
3. Performs massage strokes at the appropriate rate.
4. Uses universal precautions to prevent the transmission of serious communicable diseases.
5. Uses proper body mechanics in the performance of job.
6. Identifies precautions and /or contraindications to utilizing massage techniques.
7. Assists in marketing when appropriate.
8. Ensures work area is safe and clear of obstacles.
