Job Summary

The Dockhand is responsible in supporting the marina team to serve marina customers by performing a variety of tasks ranging from general operation of the docks, assisting boaters, and maintaining exceptional cleanliness of facilities.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide Harbor at Lemon Bay with the highest level of customer service, while maintaining efficiency in all requests.
• Respond to all customers in a manner that expresses a thoughtful, well-mannered, and professional character.
• Help familiarize customers and guests to the marina and its facilities.
• Forward thinking in assisting customers with general boating needs.
• Maintain and clean restrooms, docks, walkways, grounds, and other areas designated by management.
• Guarantee docks and equipment are always operational.
• Comply with OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and adhere to all site rules and expectations.
• Availability to work overtime when required.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• The marina team welcomes customers, crews, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. 
• Assist in safely guiding vessels in and out of the marina and provide docking assistance, fueling, and general services.
• Support reservations with information pertaining to marina services, navigation, and amenities.
• Maintain communications with both staff and customers.
• Enforce marina rules and regulations to ensure boater compliance.

Technical & Physical Requirements

• Ability to work safely around the water.
• Must be able to swim.
• Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
• Basic boating handling skills preferred.
• Previous marina experience preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
