Job Description: Gun Drill Operator

Job Description:

Leading global metals manufacturing and distribution company is looking for full-time Gun Drill Operator at a key service center location in Ellwood City, PA. Candidates should ideally have metal service center work experience with cutting, processing, and packaging of steel plate products. Further training will include Plate Saw, Heat Treating Furnace, and CNC Machines. We are looking for a self-motivated individual, possessing good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work within a team. Key Functions:

· Unload and receive materials into stock

· Package and band material for shipment

· Cutting, processing, packaging of steel plate products

· Operating fork-lift and overhead crane equipment

· Position and secure steel plates on machines, using holding devices, precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and hoists

· Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules and standards

· Loading and unloading machining centers

· Hardness testing of steel plate

· Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition

Requirements:

· Prefer 2 to 5+ years of experience in metal service center operations

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to work overtime and weekends as required

· Strong ability to work within a team

· Programming and blueprint reading is a plus

· Academic proficiency in math, reading comprehension, mechanical abilities

· Dependability and high motivation

· Valid Driver's License required

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
