Our client, a global leader in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a Logistics Packaging Engineer to join their team. As a Logistics Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the Global Logistics department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have analytical thinking, collaboration skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Logistics Packaging Engineer

Location: Maplewood, MN

Pay Range:$40 to $65 per hour on W-2
Duration 12 month contract 

What's the Job?

• Design and implement innovative packaging and shipping solutions to maximize trailer and container utilization.
• Analyze logistics loading processes, including crating, decking, and bracing, to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Partner with logistics operations, manufacturing, 3PLs, and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of packaging solutions into supply chain processes.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics packaging efficiency and global load factor performance.
• Leverage data analytics tools like Power BI to identify trends, underutilized nodes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, packaging engineering, or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analytics and process optimization.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory standards in logistics and packaging.
• Experience with tools such as Power BI and process mapping is preferred.
