A great locum opportunity is now open for an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to provide PRN coverage in a rural critical-access setting. This role is ideal for providers confident working independently in both the Emergency Department and Med/Surg units.

Role Details

• Function as sole provider covering both ED + Med/Surg

• Inpatient responsibilities: Yes

• Outpatient/clinic: No

• Telehealth: No

• Team Structure:

  • 1 provider on duty

  • 2 RNs

  • 1 Paramedic (CNAs occasionally)

• Average Volumes:

  • ER: ~3.6 patients/day

  • Med/Surg census: ~1.4 patients/day

• Procedures: Emergency care, inpatient, skilled care

• Exam Rooms: 2

• Imaging, Lab, Pharmacy: On-site

• EMR: EPIC

• Temp Privileges: Yes (Emergency Privileges: No)

Travel & Reimbursement

• Flights, Lodging, Rental Car, Mileage reimburesed

Requirements

• Board Certified - Required

• Active IA License - Required

• DEA + CSR - Required
