Avera is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

• The LPN is accountable for the Standards of Care that require all nurses to practice at a competent level of nursing care and demonstrate a competent and professional level of behavior in his/her role as an LPN.
• He/she assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered on his/her shift.
• A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) practices under the supervision of a RN, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or Licensed Physician.

Education and/or Experience

• Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
• Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
• Technical Degree is preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Licensed as a LPN in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire and must be maintained.

Work Schedule

• Varied shifts; 72 hours 2 weeks
  • 7:00 am - 7:30 pm and 7:00 pm - 7:30 am
  • Every other weekend
  • Every other holiday
  • Occasional call time

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.  

• $25.25 - $36.50 per hour
