Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is urgently hiring a full-time and experienced Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to support a thriving Workers’ Compensation practice group in Orlando.

Position: Workers’ Compensation Legal Assistant (W2 Temp)

Location: Fully onsite in Orlando, FL (near Lake Eola, off I-4)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Duration: 3-month contract-to-hire (potential conversion, not guaranteed)

Start Date: ASAP (next week possible)

Pay Rate: $20–$25/hour

Background: Must clear background check, employment verification, and provide 3 professional references.

Key Responsibilities

  • Heavy calendaring, docket management, deadline tracking, and scheduling.
  • Administrative tasks include expense reimbursements, travel arrangements, reviewing billable hours, and client invoices.
  • Trial prep, discovery, e-filing.
  • Requesting and obtaining medical records; preparing case/treatment updates and status reports.
  • Coordinating expert witnesses, opposing counsel, and depositions.
  • Bates stamping, hearing, and trial binder prep, and document organization.
  • Client-facing role supporting multiple attorneys in workers’ comp defense.

Minimum Required Experience

  • Workers’ Compensation defense strongly preferred.
  • Civil litigation in personal injury, insurance defense, or medical malpractice translates well.
  • Recent US law firm skills in scheduling, calendaring, trial prep, and discovery.
  • Familiarity with Florida filings (county, state, federal) and OJCC dispute support is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and e-filing systems required.
