Position Title: Leasing Agent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Location: Santa Cruz, CA

Job Duties:

The Leasing Agent will report to Property Manager and will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support the leasing team and ensure smooth operations at the leasing office.

Key duties include:

• Answering phones in a courteous and pleasant manner to provide excellent customer service.
• Greeting applicants, residents, and vendors as they arrive at the office.
• Supporting the leasing team with marketing efforts, including mailing marketing materials and tracking marketing activities.
• Meeting with prospective tenants to provide tours of the available units and answer any questions they may have.
• Accepting rental applications and ensuring they are filled out completely and legibly.
• Assisting in entering pre-applications into the waitlist software system.
• Meeting with prospective residents to complete their initial intake process.
• Processing paperwork to determine income eligibility for prospective residents.
• Preparing files for review to ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.

Qualifications:

• Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to constantly perform desk-based computer tasks, frequently sit, occasionally stand or walk.
• Use a telephone, sort and file paperwork or parts.
